How Does it Deflect Disputes?

Here’s an example of how Consumer Clarity™ can alleviate transaction confusion and deflect a chargeback dispute: 

  1. The cardholder logs into their digital or mobile banking application to view their recent transactions.
  2. Ethoca retrieves enriched transaction details (like merchant logos and clean merchant names) and immediately presents it to the cardholder. 
  3. If the cardholder still doesn’t recognize the transaction, and thinks it may be fraud, they can click to view a digital receipt (participating merchants only).
  4. The additional purchase information and merchant details confirms the transaction’s legitimacy – preventing an unnecessary chargeback dispute.
