To generate your risk score and/or order recommendation, data is cross-matched withand combined with several other factors including, but not limited to:
- Blacklists - transaction linked to comprised data, blacklisted by other merchants and payment providers
- Bank account standing - open, closed, in good standing, owner deceased, return history, business account
- Negative check databases - check past returns, how recent, how much through integration with leading negative databases
- Authentication risk - identity information provided matched with leading identity databases
- Velocities - dramatic or suspicious changes in usage patterns, large number or value of eChecks recently issued by this buyer
- Data inconsistencies – flags suspicious information based on historical experiences e.g., email address linked to 5 different account numbers and 5 credit cards over the past week, phone number inconsistency with bank account
- Geo-location - high risk source IP address, inconsistencies with IP, bank location and address
- Regulatory - flags individuals on Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) or Blocked Persons (e.g., OFAC) lists
