Ethoca has brought together significant expertise and experience to its Board of Directors. In addition to upholding the interests of Ethoca's shareholders, Ethoca's Board provides guidance to Ethoca's Executive team on matters of corporate and financial strategy, governance, and risk management. Further, Ethoca's Board members are champions of Ethoca's efforts and advocate the importance and benefits of businesses, individuals and law enforcement working together. Ethoca's Directors are:

John Fielding, Non-Executive Chairman

After spending 5 years playing professional hockey in Europe, John Fielding returned to Canada where he successfully built an award winning, 800-person retail-display company called IDMD (Innovative Design & Manufacturer of Displays). In 2001 Mr. Fielding changed gears, sold IDMD, and created a private investment firm that has made significant and rewarding investments in many industry sectors including brewing, software development and biopharmaceuticals. Mr. Fielding continues to be active, as he serves as a Director at Associated Brownfields, a remediation and land development company. He also sits on the Board of Advisors of Armstrong Partnerships LP, a Toronto-based marketing firm and Newport Investment company, and is a Principal in StudentHousing.ca, a holder of student housing in Canada. Mr. Fielding is also a Director of Woodbine Entertainment Group. His keen passion for equine has brought many personal ownerships in Canada and the United States. He is also a partner in a very successful thoroughbred breeding stable which is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky. Mr. Fielding continues to bring his own brand of entrepreneurial skill and drive to all areas of his personal and professional life.

Joseph J. Grano Jr., Non-Executive Director

Joseph J. Grano, Jr. is Chairman and CEO of Centurion Holdings LLC, an advisor to private and public companies. From 2001-2004, Mr. Grano was chairman of UBS Financial Services Inc. (formerly PaineWebber). While at PaineWebber, he chaired the Board of Governors of the National Association of Security Dealers (NASD). In 2002, Mr. Grano was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as the chairman of the Homeland Security Advisory Council. He proudly served his country as a captain in the U.S. Special Forces (Green Berets). Mr. Grano is a member of the Council for the United States and Italy, a member of the City University of New York’s Business Leadership Council and a member of the National Board of D.A.R.E.

Tom Ridge, Non-Executive Director

The Honorable Tom Ridge is the president and CEO of Ridge Global LLC, a strategic and operational consulting firm that advances the security and economic interests of businesses and governments worldwide. Following the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, Tom Ridge became the first Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and, on January 24, 2003, he became the first Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Before the events of September 11, Mr. Ridge served as Pennsylvania’s 43rd governor from 1995 to 2001. In 1982, he became one of the first Vietnam combat veterans elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and was overwhelmingly re-elected by Pennsylvania voters five times. In addition to his position as chief executive of Ridge Global, Mr. Ridge also serves as chairman of the National Organization on Disability and national co-chairman of the Flight 93 National Memorial

Philip Nelson, Non-Executive Director

With a long and distinguished career in the insurance industry, Philip Nelson started his career in 1974 with H Clarkson, specializing in bloodstock insurance. He formed Nelson Steavenson Bloodstock Ltd in 1978. The firm became a Lloyds broker in the decade to follow and grew into the largest producer of bloodstock insurance premiums to the London market. In 1993, the firm was sold to SBJ Ltd., one of the UK’s largest insurance brokers. SBJ appointed Nelson to a director position which he holds today.

Hon. John D. Reynolds P.C., Non-Executive Director

One of Canada’s best-known former politicians, John Reynolds brings Ethoca more than 20 years' experience in government and more than 10 years’ experience in venture capital and strategic business development. Reynolds served 25 years as a Member of Parliament, including a term as Leader of the Opposition in the House of Commons. He was also a provincial cabinet minister in his home province of British Columbia. Reynolds played a major role in the development and execution of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s successful national election campaign in 2006.

Andre Edelbrock, Chief Executive Officer (Co-Founder), Executive Director

Andre Edelbrock is a leading expert in online payment systems, risk, fraud and product management. Before joining Ethoca in 2005, Edelbrock headed the department responsible for all international e-cash services and operations at CryptoLogic (NASDAQ: CRYP, TSX: CRY, LSE: CRP), one of the world’s largest e-gaming software and e-cash service providers. Edelbrock also spent two years with Procuron, an Internet B2B marketplace start-up founded by Bell Canada, CIBC, Scotiabank and Desjardins, where he played a key role in strategy, development and sales. Earlier in his career, he served as a management consultant at the Canadian offices of Deloitte Consulting and IBM. Edelbrock holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Design Engineering from the Universityof Waterloo.

Darryl Green, Chief Governance Officer (Co-Founder), Executive Director

Trained as a lawyer, engineer and businessman, Darryl Green spent six years working at Tucows Inc., a publicly listed Internet services company (AMEX: TCX, TSX: TC). Green was a key member of a team that found and integrated new lines of business, including the wholesale distribution of domain registrations, security certificates, outsourced email services, payment services, and billing services. Green personally managed the evaluation and addition of these lines of business by means of organic development, strategic partnership and corporate acquisition. Prior to this, Green worked at the law firm Davies Ward and Beck, and has worked as an engineer for Nortel, General Motors, Solvay Automotive and Dow Chemical. He has a Bachelor of Engineering Science and LL.B and MBA degrees from the University of Western Ontario.
